“How do I know if I have enough skin to begin using a device like the Mantor Restorer?”
In general, if you can pull your shaft skin over the glans, you have enough skin to use a device.
To check if you have enough slack skin for device usage:
- Push the glans inside the penile tube using your finger.
- With your other hand, grab the shaft skin where you can and pull it forward. Observe how far the skin reaches. If it covers the glans, you can use the Mantor.

Getting a gripper fatigue after a few hours of constant tension is quite normal, after all it’s the skin that gets stretched and it needs to rest every now and then. When you begin feeling discomfort, you can simply release the tension entirely, without taking off the Mantor. Let the skin rest for 10-15 minutes and you’re good to go for another tugging session.

Compared to the DTR, it’s far more comfortable and functional. However, it is a lot less intuitive to use and harder to clean. I think the tradeoff is more than worth it, but you’ll probably have to watch the instructional videos and fiddle with it a bit to figure out how to get it to work.

The materials and craftsmanship are quite good, it doesn’t feel cheap. I’ve been surprised by how much extra skin I’ve been able to generate from 4 months of using this. I’m still nowhere I’d like to be, but small steps get you there. This is an easy device to keep on throughout the day. Hi, I bought the Mentor in size 44mm, this fits as it should, unfortunately I have very little skin and I have trouble fixing my skin. This is of course not the fault of the Mentor, I currently only use the top to stretch my skin and it works. I will now order a smaller size with frenulus neckline. I underestimated my frenulus. The Mentor materials are very comfortable on the skin, nothing irritating or scratchy. I would buy it again.

I used another tugging device for years before the Mantor, and i always hated that the retaining cone on the other tugger. It would get oily and slippery with extended use.
It would constantly slide off and have to be rewashed and put back on. With the Mantor, not only does it stay on; it also provides a much stronger and even stretch. I can even wear it while i do chores and it doesnt slide off or get loose.
I wont go back to the other brand, the Mantor is vastly superior. It might take a few weeks to arrive in the mail, but its definitely worth the wait!

super simple to use and by far the most comfortable DTR I’ve used thus far. I was stuck on my progress restoring due to the lack of comfort from wearing my foresking brand DTR (2 hours wear time tops). This one i was able to get 8 hours in with a one hour break in between. The devices is high quality and i know that i will be able to completely restore with this device. It is also unnoticeable under clothing unlike my old DTR. I was able to wear this while doing door to door advertising for an hour in the heat with no issues.

I found the Mantor uncomfortable to wear with the pusher pad — the pressure it put on my glans was unbearable. Maybe it is because I’m only CI-2, but I can only speak to my own experience. I’ve tried another bi-directional restoration device in the past and felt similar discomfort with it, so I think this type of device is not for me, at least not yet. I will give it another try once I’m CI-4.
However, I still rate this device 3 stars because I’ve found it quite effective as a traditional tugger after removing the pusher pad. But I don’t use the Mantor leg strap (tried it, didn’t love it) — I use a THERABAND tied around the back of the neck.

The device it’s just good enough. But in my case I don’t have enough skin to use this DS Mantor efficiently. I will try to use it as a tugger with a strap to begin, hope I will gain some skin. I also payed import fee and declaration costs to my courier in Europe almost 50% of the total price…so don’t be surprised as did happened to me… Good luck for everybody and thank you for your good job.

Well made, customizable to an extent. Like with any device there’s a bit of a learning curve to find the best placement of the retainer, but once you’ve got it it’s unbelievable comfortable. My only complaint is that the rod will slightly unscrew from the pusher but never while I am wearing the device, only when I take it off. Just a little twist and everything is back in its place. I’ve tried almost every device on the market and as far a dual tension devices, this one trump’s the competition. I’ve only ever had it fall off once so far and that’s only due to the fact I got a little bit liberal with some moisturizer. Well worth the price.

I’ve used the mentor for about 3 weeks now, a little bit of a learning curve but it works great. It’s designed to stretch the foreskin remnant and the hairless/less haired shaft skin preferentially, which is my goal. Easy to adjust the tension in just moments as comfort and tension needs change throughout the day. Initially a problem with urination, but once I got the hang of it, it is so easy on and off that I can do it even in public restrooms without going into a stall (I’m not shy). On the downside I’m not sure I got the sizing of the cup just right, seems like the size of my glans changes from small to bigger, and bigger to smaller (kind of a moving target) but I’ll order more parts if I need too (might need a larger cup). Very fast and responsive service. I would pay more for the product if they would donate to any of the organizations that are trying to stop non-voluntary genital cutting in the first place! But I want this to be available even for those with less means than me. Good product, Good service.

The materials and engineering in this device is excellent. My issue is that my anatomy seems to resist the operation of the tool, Apparently, my glans seems to be larger than the shaft and does not push in easily to grab the skin to hold it into place. Perhaps a “pre-device” or tape or whatever needs to be used prior to using the DS in order to “pre-stretch” the skin.

From what you describe, it seems that you are in a situation where you don’t have enough skin to use the Mantor in its dual tension mode. I recommend trying to use the mantor as a tugger with a strap at first, since it requires a smaller amount of skin to begin with. Once you will gain some progress, it will be easier to use it as a dual tension device. You can also of course use T-Tape or canister method as well and some manual stretching to gain some slack. So far I’ve used it for a month and I’m quite happy with it. It’s extremely comfortable to wear while at the office, only after a 2h period or so the pain becomes unbearable. I don’t know how effective the amount of tension is, I’ll need some more time to evaluate but overall I’m thankful this device exists :). The only thing that happened to me is that the steel cap of the rod suddenly fell out and I couldn’t find it (this happened in the street), but other than that 0 complaints.

Great grip. Sometimes I feel like it’s pinching but I make some adjustments and that goes away. I don’t shave everyday so the pinching could be the stubble being pulled. Awesome grip and the push rod is also very nice to have and get that double stretch. Been using about 3 weeks for 10 to 12 hours a day 5 days a week. Does stick out a little I guess because I have more inner skin than outer. I sit all day and drive truck so not a huge deal
